A partnership with the City of Ostend

Ostend is home to one of the largest Afghan communities in Belgium. On 15 June 2026, at the office of mayor John Crombez, we agreed a structural partnership with the city. Since then, Ties of Tomorrow has been a recognized partner of the city and the direct point of contact for its social organizations on questions concerning the Afghan community.

  • A monthly consultation platform bringing together key figures from the community, the city and the local police.
  • Trusted persons who guide families and young people towards the right services.
  • Support for families, at the request of the city.
  • A collaboration with FMDO Oostende on families facing difficulties in education.

Ties of Tomorrow is strictly apolitical and neutral in matters of belief. Our only aim is social cohesion in our city.
